Ishan is an Indian Photographer whose work explores the intersections of landscape, memory, and socio-political change. His practice is rooted in research and observation, using photography to examine how environments shape and are shaped by human presence. Rather than offering direct narratives, his images engage with subtle tensions, inviting viewers to consider what is overlooked, at risk, or in transition.
Working across documentary and abstract approaches, Ishan’s photography reflects both personal inquiry and broader historical contexts. His work often captures the traces left behind, fragments of stories embedded in landscapes, structures, and fleeting moments. Currently based in Bristol, he continues to develop projects that challenge dominant perspectives and explore the complexity of place and identity.
